What’s included
What’s included in a Dunzo roof cleaning?
No pressure washer taken to your shingles. Here’s exactly what happens when we show up.
Soft-wash treatment
Low-pressure, roof-safe cleaning that removes moss and algae without stripping granules or voiding your shingle warranty.
Moss & algae removal
Moss cleared by hand where it's growing, plus a treatment that kills the roots so it's slower to come back.
Gutter & valley clear-out
Debris cleared from valleys and gutters while we're already up there, so water actually drains off the roof.
Photo report
A written, photographed condition report so you know exactly what shape your roof is in.
Don’t wait it out
How do you know your roof needs cleaning?
Any one of these is worth a free inspection: moss left alone ages a roof a lot faster than a clean one.
- Dark streaks or black staining across the roof
- Green moss growing along shingle edges or in valleys
- Granules collecting in your gutters or at downspouts
- Shingles that look lifted, curled, or uneven
- A roof that hasn't been cleaned in 3+ years
- Persistent shade from mature trees over the roof

Real technicians, real work
Why is moss actually bad for your roof?
Trapped moisture under moss keeps shingles from drying out between rains, which is what actually shortens their life, not the moss itself. We clear it by hand and treat the roots, not just blow the surface clean.
- Moss and lichen cleared by hand, roots treated
- Valleys and gutters checked while we're up there
- Same crew handles the clean and the photo report

Left alone vs. cleaned regularly
Granule loss from trapped moisture is permanent: the granules that wash away don't come back, even after the moss is gone.
Faster aging
Moss traps moisture against the shingle
- Granule loss accelerates, and it's permanent
- Lifted shingle edges risk wind blow-off
- Dark staining absorbs more heat, ages shingles faster
Full lifespan
Shingles dry out properly between rains
- Granules stay put, protecting the shingle underneath
- Shingle edges stay flat and sealed
- Curb appeal restored, no dark streaking

(916) 571-664401How much does roof cleaning cost in Sacramento?
Professional roof cleaning nationally averages around $461, typically $150–$1,000 depending on roof size and how much moss or algae has built up. We give you a firm price after a free inspection, before any work starts.
02Will pressure washing damage my roof?
We don't pressure wash roofs. We soft-wash. High-pressure blasting can strip protective granules and void shingle warranties. Soft-washing uses low pressure and the right treatment to remove moss and algae safely.
03How often should a Sacramento roof be cleaned?
Most homes do well with a cleaning once a year. Homes shaded by mature oaks or pines, or in the foothills where moss grows faster, often need it checked more often.
04Will the moss just come back after cleaning?
Moss can return, especially in shaded, damp spots, but a proper soft-wash treatment kills the roots, not just the visible growth, so regrowth is much slower than after a simple rinse.
05Does roof cleaning fix leaks or damaged shingles?
No. Cleaning removes moss, algae, and debris, but it doesn't repair damaged or missing shingles. If we find damage during your free inspection, we'll tell you plainly rather than clean over it.
06Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
No. As long as we can access the exterior of your home and any gated areas, you don't need to be present. We'll send your Gutter Health Report Card by email when the job's done.
